How to connect to your Rust server with RCON Print

  • 45

RCON is a common protocol used to communicate with and issue commands to your game server.

You may also choose to use an external RCON client. Although you may use any RCON client you wish, MCProHosting recommends the use of RustAdmin for Rust, which can be found here: https://www.rustadmin.com/

  1. Download and extract RustAdmin to any location on your PC

  2. Open RustAdmin's folder and run RustAdmin.exe.

  3. From the top menu in RustAdmin, choose Server and then Connect.

  4. Under the RCON Type group, make sure you've set it to WebRcon.

  5. Under the Server group, enter your server IP, port, and for your Rcon port(this is your server's port).

  6. If you use a password for Rcon (you may add one from your server's configuration module), make sure to enter it as well.

  7. At the bottom of RustAdmin, choose Save and specify a name for your server's Rcon connection. If you run multiple Rust servers, make sure to choose a name that will help you easily identify each of the servers.

  8. Click "Console" to view any output from your server, and finally choose Server->Connect.

Disclaimer:
Only one person on your server can access Rust Admin at a time.

You may now fully manage and issue commands to your Rust server using RustAdmin.
